WE BELIEVE the Bible
is THE WORD of God. It is infallible (without error); immutable (absolute); inspired (written by men - spoken by God);
powerful; proven; unchanging; and everlasting.
WE BELIEVE in
the One True God who is Eternal, Infinite, Holy, and the Creator of all. He alone is our Father and Savior. "The first
of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord" (Mark 12:29).
WE BELIEVE the
one true God, the Jehovah of the Old Testament, took upon Himself the form of man, and as the Son, was born of the Virgin
Mary. As the apostle Paul says, "Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory"
(I Timothy 3:16). Jesus Christ was the one true God manifest in the flesh. We believe with the apostle Paul that "in him
[Jesus] dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Colossians 2:9). Jesus Christ was crucified, buried, and resurrected.
He was the Lamb, or Sacrifice for our sins.
WE BELIEVE in
the New Birth. Jesus said, "...unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). We believe
being "born again" consists of Repentance; Water Baptism in Jesus Name; and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Peter said, "...Repent,
and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift
of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:1-4,39 Acts 8,10,19)
WE BELIEVE in
Divine Healing. Jesus said of believers, "They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover" (Mark 16:18).
Isaiah prophesied of Jesus, "With his stripes we are healed" (Is. 53:5).
WE BELIEVE GODLY LIVING
should characterize the life of every Christian, and we should live according to the pattern and example given in the
Word of God.
"For the grace of God that brings salvation
has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright
and godly lives in this present age" (Titus 2:11-12) NIV
"To this you were called, because Christ suffered
for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his
mouth. When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted
himself to him who judges justly" (1 Peter 2:21-23). NIV
"But as He who called you is holy, you also
be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:15-16) NKJV
