Our pastor, Jason Watts, was born and raised in the suburbs
of Chicago, IL. After early graduation of high school he and his best friend joined the United States Marine Corps and
left for San Diego, CA. After serving in Desert Storm, Pastor Watts felt a change in his plans and enrolled at Indiana
Bible College in Indianapolis, IN. Upon receiving a Diploma in Theology he returned home to work for and be mentored
by Rev. Jack Yonts Sr. at a "home missions" church ... a new work in the suburbs. Leaving Chicago after nearly
two years, he assisted other pastors and churches in IL and TX and served foreign missionaries in Europe and Africa.
Feeling
the call to home missions himself, and the state of North Carolina, he and his wife and daughter came to Franklin, NC to start
TRUTH Family Worship Center. After just four short years, plans were implemented for their first facility
to be built.
Karisha
Watts was born and raised in Denison, TX and has a rich heritage in the Apostolic ministry. Her parents have pastored
for over 25 years, and both sets of grandparents served as pastors/evangelists. After high school graduation, Karisha
also attended and graduated from Indiana Bible College though her and Jason did not attend at the same time. Since coming
to Franklin, she has learned to play the keyboard, something she tried all her life but never could do! Now each service
she leads in music and song the spirited worship at TRUTH.
Pastor Watts
and Karisha are blessed with two wonderful children. Kaimberlyn, who is six years old - and Tavenor, who is three
years old. They are taking on the musical desires of their parents. Kaimberlyn loves to sing and play the keyboard
while Tavenor pounds on the drums!
